And today I did......

Speaking from experience, suck it up and try and channel it into something productive. Normally I'd say finding another job, but as you point out, not the best of times... :(

Similar(ish) thing happened to me years ago - I won a two week snowboarding holiday for two to Colorado whilst a shift manager in an Edinburgh bar. I was out when the rep came in and my boss took the credit (and the holiday).

EDIT
Now you've reminded me about it, I can feel a seething rage starting to build...

Second Edit
I've been stewing on this all day - I was wrong, the man sounds like a prick, have it out with him! Ask him why he took your snowboarding holiday... err didn't offer you the Australian trip.

He didn't do me a favour, he's just an arrogant snob who does not take anyone seriously who doesn't have a good degree from the right University. I have no respect for him nor have had for years but this is just too much

Worse is the fact the ME makes me too knackered to chase a better job plus of course the economic situation means there are no other jobs

Stuck here and pee'd off big time :(

Why not just look him in the eye and ask him why he didn't offer the trip to you?

He sounds like a real wee shit Velo.
Sod him, don't let him get to you.

As we say down here 'The good will out'

He's bulletproof, the Institute Directors love him and he's independently wealthy so does not require his work to support him. Thus no one can threaten his position and he can thus do what he likes

I know he does not rate me, he actually said that to one of my coleagues behind my back. He keeps me around because I am prepared to do the horrid jobs. I stick around because I need the money :(

One day I'll escape but when is the big unknown !

Stop doing the shit jobs . If he's been open about not liking you then it wouldn't look too good if he causes a fuss about you no longer offering to do the extra stuff .

Rob , not seen a steely yet . I did ride a orange r8 on monday so wouldn't mind a comparison of the two .

Today I feel a bit down . Broken car , gave up while driving to work yesterday . A mate reckons it's the fuel pump so will likely get something else . Maybe save for a vw lupo or the seat arosa . Keep looking at old fords on the bay though  I've estimated it costs about £4 a day in diesel at the moment and with a rough guess an escort would be half the mpg so £8 . On one hand I'm tight and diesel makes sense . On the other is an old escort

As for the snowboarding :x

You've met me Perry, I told you what I do for a living, cant stop doing the shit jobs, they are my job. No really bothered about what I do, just bothered about boss's attitude. To my face he's nice as pie just a complete bar steward behind my back. He has the power, I dont, but I need the money so head down and plod on

Anywho isn't replacing your car because one component has failed a touch excessive. Fit a new or newish fuel pump, mechanical ones are simple enough are they not :?

Keep up the interesting reports from deepest midlandshire ;)

Yesterday I finally got round to fixing a puncture  tomorrow I will probably fix another :) I've also pulled out my box of parts set aside for the newer FAT, this will be the GT bike. Give me a chance to see how it rides too. I won't have time to build a set of wheels so I'll need to re-appropriate a set.

Housework continues apace and I bought my self a new cordless hammer drill and drill/driver combo, nothing like a bit of power tool purchasing to lift the spirits :D

Oh and I also got my bike to work voucher through :D :D :D I think I've settled on one of these, cannondale caadx 105

though the lesser model also looks quite good
