Hi Barry
Cheers for that. I am on the flickr group from mtbr and have seen so many cool paintjobs that it gets even more confusing :)
Some like the one just above is like most of the custom jobs, in as much as they are enamel and not powder coat. For what I use the Pugs for I prefer the powder as its a lot more durable, especially for the coastal salt water stuff and the rocks.
I will most likely go with the orange I originally thought I would do as that's what I personally and originally thought would look good. Its a brighter orange than the one above, that one was on the Fat bike forum as well, and I will use the earlier Pugsley decals that were the white ones not the black. I did also purchase recently a set of Holy Rolling Darryl rims to build up on new singlespeed hubs one day. They are barely used so will look good with the orange rim strip.
As usual finances will dictate a slow work in progress rather than throw everything into it at once.
If money was no object I would do it enamel and do something really bling, but bling is not really my thing and I wouldn't want to baby it due to a paint job. I like to keep my stuff looking nice but not at the expense of using it as it should be.
The one man that has done probably the most lovely paintjob on a Pugsley, in my opinion, is Swamp Thing paint in Japan. I love the green, don't know whether its because its my aussie national colours or my younger years racing and riding Kawasakis :)
If had that I would be wary of riding it in salt water too much :) and then whats the point.
I thought about doing my Pugsley green but its a standard colour these days and would just look a bit John Deere :)

Your just jealous Rob that there's no Genesis - thread for your stable
I am assuming your new one is the Phil Collins model, it just goes on and on and fu*%$ing on ! :) :)

Love the hand painted graphics on the swamp thing, but the blue fade in FFTC's post is just amazing!

Up early (for a Sunday) and out for a ride before the next lot of rain comes along. Everything soaking as expected , but at least it wasn't falling from the sky for once.
Looks like last nights fireworks went a bit wrong round here.

That Jones looks lovely Clubby, can't say the same for the carrier behind :) Fireworks or the local joyriders?
I like the splatter one more than the blue fade. It seems Surly is into Blue the last couple of years so I would avoid that, maybe because I have a blue machine already. Same with green I suppose, I have my 1X1 and love the colour so no point having two green bikes. The only other green (besides swamp things) would maybe be the hospital foam green from the cross check a couple of years back.
Orange keeps coming up tops so far :) I need to make a decision as it goes mid week. aaarggghhhh!

Forgive my interruption but how fat can you go on a standard surly fork with a standard 29" 19mm rim before there are issues? Thinking a half fat as a I have three 29ers, one of which can be experimented on.

Thanks THM

Not sure about 29" but Epicyclo runs a 26" fat B nimble on his 1x1.
Alternatively, I have a half-fat kit up for sale at the moment ;)

Re:

Been off since friday but not been out the door so I went out today for a couple of hours in the pissing rain, rain heavy enough to get through 2 WP jackets the wind did'nt make it any easier. Dry clothes and some warm soup will make me feel human again :)
