And today I did......

today i have been (mostly)riding

early doors ,then she left for skibo castle

then went off to perth , pitlochry ,dunkeld ,over to killin ,tyndrum ,balloch
stirling tilli and then home

aint fireblades great ?

Managed to drop a full (plastic) 'can' of white emulsion paint, onto the stone step, 3 steps above my GT... doh! Bike looked like an extra in a porn flick... caked she was... jet wash and a sponge-scourer sorted it out...

I went back to Glentress today with my wife and daughters.
Started off from the Buzzard's Nest car park, did Berm Baby Berm with the intention of then climbing all the way to top of Spooky Wood. Got half way back to top of B-B-B when I realised that the cleat on my right shoe was hanging off. Stopped and as I fixed it heard "Mum's chain has broken" Me "aw FFS". Continued up and we did B-B-B again, then went back to car and I removed 2 links and all OK.
No more problems, all the way to top then doon all the way. Brilliant. Bairns loved it.

OCP
disc rotor bolts can double up for cleat bolts as theyre about the same length.Take it off the rear disc as theres less strain on it

I won a Zipp hub last week and it arrived in :D Zipp ballistic rear 24h gold ano
Problem is the drive side cup is loose, when i say loose i mean detachable
I've taken advice and its very fixable using loctite activator spray directly on the carbon[as normal loctite wont cure]then using red loctite to bond it.according to the advice you must heavily spray the end first, add the red to the inside cup, then slide the two together and pop in a vice to hold it all snug.
Ive no experience but its the usual trusted source who also said theres a topic on 'apire or velo forum or something about doing this fix.

Ive just sent my 3rd email to the buyer but the twat hasnt bothered his arse to answer. He's just sold a pile of bits some of which finished yesterday so theres little chance he missed my Emails
Ebay charge higher fees if the feedback goes under 100% but i strongly disagree with this policy so dont like leaving a negative even if im the one losing out :?
Any advice? :)
On fixing hubs, not dealing with discourteous sellers

Never thought about using disc bolts, I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
Was lucky though, the bolts were still in cleat, just.
Had wondered why there was a wee bit more float on the Eggbeater and a bit iffy releasing, doh. It was only when I got off bike I felt there was something loose on shoe, thought sole was coming off.

Dyna, I think you should be leaving negative feedback or a least neutral. The system becomes meaningless if people only leave positive and this way you can warn future buyers. If it's a one off it won't have much impact, if it's part of a pattern then bidders can make their own mind up.

Yesterday I managed to repair the bottom bracket axle for the FAT, well maybe not repaired but averted disaster by finding the correct thread size. Now cleaned out and awaiting a couple of bolts to arrive, I may have to fabricate some heavy washer to use with them though.

I also cleaned up the drivetrain parts for the Klein and won a lighter cassette on the bay, should be a whopping 40+ gram saving for a tenner :)

I also managed to pick up a KCNC stem and if I find a pair of the mt zoom bars going cheap should have the making for a lighter cockpit for the Klein too.

I've also just entered the Three Peaks CX race :D I've wanted to do this for years but one thing or another got in the way. Wee bit of a bucket lister for me.
