I tried to get a cheap pair of shoes to replace the ones that died after Pitlochry. Main targets being cheap and able to be used both on and off the bike in countryside conditions. Not boots though as they are hellish uncomfy for cycling. I managed to find a nice pair of Mountain Life ones in a sale for £30 only to discover the smallest size they do is an 8. WTF is that about? They do a 12 but not a 7?
Ended up visiting Go Outdoors and got a decent pair of Hi Tec 50 Peaks shoes for only £25 after paying a fiver for my discount card. Some great bargains once you have the card though for all types of outdoor gear, everything from socks to family tents and fishing gear. The cycling section isn't huge but no worse than an average Halfords for spares and most of what they have is better quality.
