And today I did......

That'll be some change! I think you'll miss the islands, but there's lots to make up for it on the mainland, Learnie red rocks not too far from you either. And, well, just all around much simpler to get to places from the mainland šŸ‘šŸ»

I'm sure Brian & Jamie will have you beating a path down some long forgotten trails in no time šŸ˜…

Aye cheers Jim!

Did Learnie when I lived in Inverness years back when I had the Salsa Ti.

Yes I will miss the Island, but my Mum died the first year there and I always felt guilty about not being around for Dad, then Covid came along and that put paid to any visiting, so being back on the mainland and able to see him again will be great!

Love all around that area, and Dornoch is about a quarter the size of Stornoway so should be nice. The school role was around 1500ā€¦. itā€™s 180 in Dornoch! šŸ˜‚

Welcome back to the (b)right side! Although I'm not that far away I almost never ride out that way mostly because I'd have to deal with the A9 to get there and it's not much fun on a bike but there are a lot of nice roads around and guaranteed to be quite a lot of nice off-roads too. Post up the ride photos as you discover them!

Velofrog, a double edged sword I imagine, good to be back for all the reasons you mentioned but sad to be leaving.
But don't fear, once Brian and I beat your location out of the locals we will drag you round some sorry rides :)

Jamie

Thereā€™s no sadness Jamie, it was time to go and everything fell into place regarding the move, so it was clearly meant to be!
Having access to family for me is the biggest reward though, just being able to hop in the car and go see my Dad is fab. šŸ˜Š
Would love to go for a pedal (expedition) with you and Brian sometime too! šŸ˜Ž
Cheers!
Mike

Today I am mainly on the scrounge.

Sharron is doing the 26 mile Kilt Walk from St Andrews to Monifieth. Sheā€™s helping raise money for the Brae Riding for the Disabled in Dundee.
I know times are tough, but itā€™s the same for the small charity, especially when they couldnā€™t fund raise during covid but all the horses still had to be fed and looked after. The Hunter Foundation is adding 50% to all money raised so even if you can only give a pound, that will be added to from them.
If you canā€™t give anything yourself I completely understand but maybe pass the link onto someone who can.

Thanks, Steven.
