Re:

Well done Kaiser ;)

I'm going the opposite way in I'm learning to drive, god I hate cars but needs must

Just realised I've been riding motorbikes for 27 years, 20 of them with a full licence and yet now I pilot a moped around Edinburgh on L-plates

One thing I've learned is I'm now a confirmed scooterist. Those full auto CVT transmission things are the biggest hoot. My current 100cc critter may not have the power of my now dead and departed 250 scooter but you can fling it around the city and back roads with grin inducing enthusiasm :D

Grand ride up Dunkeld with ZZ, tearing up the Enduro descents. Tearing up my rear tyre with all the brake dragging more like. Still it was sunny and the Rake and Ruin trail is well worth the climb. Even got chatted up by two lassies on dh bikes. Well their dog was really friendly at least.

A grand day out clubby. Rake and Ruin's a great combination of steep (but not mental 'Benarty' steep), and some tight switchbacks with a LOT of fresh air off to the 'don't fall that way' side, then some slatey trails as you near the quarry. Finally a bonus 'in the woods' section to finish it off. The girls were rapid.

Definitely need to get back and take a look over the other side too.

Re:

yeah them videos look great, only 40mins up the road as well, def one to add to the calander? gutted i wisna allowed out lol.

but to make up for it took OCP up the lomonds today. paked in creaigmead so went up west lomond first for a mental fast descent back to the carpark. then climb round east lomond. then did some of the trails that mikee showed me off east lomond heading into the formont hills. couple of fantastic descents.

then to otp it off down from east lomond into maspie den for a tough climb back out. over 2600ft of ascent and 16miles.

knackered but dry dry dry trails. forgot how good the lomonds are and the size of the place.

Re:

As Keith has said it was a good, naw, great day, sunny and warm, nae wind. But feck me that was a lot of climbing.
The descent down from the East Lomond car-park was mental fast, we went so far down we were in amongst the hooses in Glenrothes. We could have visited Mikee as his hoose wiz only a few streets away.
The climb back up was brutal though, I like my climbs to come before the doons, and then riding back up fae Maspie sure confirmed my preference.

There wiz nae effin' mud.
