You can tell that is light, just by the fact the LIDL clamp has it tight without the extension thingy.

I bit the bullet and bought a genuine Shimano servicing kit to shorten the brake hose on the Litespeed if I f#ck it up I may need counselling :facepalm:

Shimano is plastic rob, so should just slice through no problem.

Try goodridge :shock: Ive currently given up on one fitting as it wont go in. 200 attempts, and much gnashing of teeth.

Advice tip.
If at first you dont succeed. STOP and try again tomorrow. Be tears otherwise.

At least it is mineral oil. Once you have the kit is is a no brainer.

Rob, its a piece of cake. Remove from lever, trim, slide new ferrule over the hoses and insert the barb. Inserting the barb may need a bit of persuasion, use the blocks you get with the kit or even better a topeak barb insertion tool. Anyway nine times of of ten you won't even need to bleed and you can even get away with only purchasing a ferrule and barb.

(1) Yesterday I was asked when I was coming back to work AND in the same breath was TOLD when I was coming back.
(2) Today stopped a guy knocking a woman about and in the scuffle the woman dropped her purse BUT she sped off in here car before I could re-unit her with the purse, I handed it into the nick 'they' searched through it and it contained £365 + change.
(3) I was looking high 'n' low for some thing but couldn't find it then resigned my self to having to buy another. Roll on to the next day the same happens for some thing else (ditto) buy another. Well about 1/2 hour ago I found both together well ............................. I just about had to change my pants. I need to get a life, yeah? :?
