Started laying out ideas for camper van internals. Thinking of doing it all 'modular'.
Dyna, here's something for you..

Might as well start again as it would be pretty much the same money.
I've seen some interesting set ups on the camper front. Something i like to, that space of your own to take anywhere is cool, much like the boat. I cant drive but i can sail
But yeah a good project if you take your time in the planning and drawing out side. Ive made a number of 'things' that were 1/2 made by ikea or the like, with our/my touch on the overall. Like using standard cabinets, then either reworking them or including them in the design as the main meat of the carcass.
Because i dont drive i do occasionally think on how i would design for a van, having worked out of a number of fitting vans with modular interiors. I thought of a unit that sits on propped legs, you back up to it, engage and slide the entire unit into prefixed sliders on the van and lock it in place.
Modular 1- is campervan- You slide it out, drop the first 2 supporting legs then slide out a bit more to drop the other so it stands alone as a unit.
Modular 2- is workvan - reverse the process, slide in
Modular 3 etc etc
Need somewhere to place them though :? but just some thoughts on the subject.
Was it yourself provided a link on a van where the sleeping compartment slid 3/4 out the back like an extension ? Is so, like that only it holds everything and slides in and out completely.
