Shortened a brake hose, dropped (and lost) the new olive, knocked the lever, pished the oil out all over the floor, wind knocked over the open bottle of spare oil, threw bike in shed, went and got a beer, felt better :)

Bleedin Hydraulics

Cables are the new future :xmas-cool:

Re:

Just in from a wee 20 miler around ma "hood" conditions not to bad, did a bit of trail clearing thanks to my Bahco, bumped into what I'd bet was a couple of Mucky Riders judging by the way they blanked me (ass holes) spotted 'more' Tubby tyre tracks. BTW I'm no bondin with my Rubber Queens their super critical about tyre pressure, and I 'think' they squirm a bit if the rims a bit narrow, 2.2 on a X317. Finished off the ride with a Mr Whippy, yummy :D

Did a fair bit of sawing myself, quite a few trees down on the local trails. I particularly enjoyed hosing the dug shite of my trousers when I get home. Braw.

nice one centurion

enjoyed my wee bimble in the cold this morn, visited my Belgium mate this avo and collected my bier consignment from his recent trip home, watched the cyclocross worlds in his strange language and took the bairn for a swim... a infinitely better sounding day than some :)

Re:

I had a very relaxing day doing what I wanted to do instead of what others wanted me to do. Still struggling with the rib injury sustained at GT a month ago so no riding. I stripped a Bob Jackson(?) road bike I got cheap from Gumtree but I'm not convinced it's a BJ.

Andy that looks a lovely frame, I think you've got a tally there, possibly been refinished at BJ sometime.. suppose the experts will tell you soon. tho the frame number is bizarre and hints to something bespoke. was there anything on the steerer?

btw, ribs, what happened,... never mind guess I've not read the aftermath

Sounds like a good day mate Gmac, and Hawmaw as well if it wasn't for the ribs.

I spent a good couple of hours out with the little man and the dog playing in the snow between blizzards.
