And today I did......

Looks good Klaus.
I've been looking at the Specialized FSR Fattie thing recently.
650B+ full suss looks pretty tasty, but then I woke up and remembered I would only get use of it once or twice a year.

In other news, today I finished switching the El-Mar to gears so I have a SS space for my new purchase. Should be here Tuesday. :D

C'mon then Barry, what is it?
Theres always room for more singlespeeds ;)

Whats going on in macretro land? its not even Christmas yet :)

Re:

Well spotted Jamie I nearly missed that (FFTC) I had to go back for a re-read

While every one seems to be coming clean, I 'may' be making a new bike purchase before Christmas
it's NOT a 26'er and it's NOT got suspension

650b+ did pique my interest somewhat, some good feedback from some of the bikes tested. As for use bizarrely I had my eye on a cx/gravel/tourer type frame and forks, when it came to the crunch though I realised the actual amount of time I'd use it was minimal. I did a quick synopsis of what kind of biking I'd be doing in the next couple of years and something like the Reign fitted. Maybe a bit overkill for my local stuff (but we are remedying that  ) but when I get a weekend pass, big mountain and a bit of racing are on the cards.

Once you have one, you might be surprised at how much you'd use it.

But rather than waste time getting a "gravel" bike, build a proper one with a 29er.

More niche hooring from me I'm afraid.

So a SS Pugsley will be joining the other Surlys in the stable.
The KM is resting for now but I have plans for a Brian MacLeod road bike in the near future as well so I think the Monkey will make a good base!

Can't believe Rob is gonna buy something with big wheels! Believe it when I see it.
