And today I did......

Managed out for 40k on the road bike between downpours. Felt good to be out again and not be (too) cold or wet or in the dark.

Weathers definitely on the up K. this rain though makes it hard. few more months and the rain will be gane and less of a biting wind
Where was the route ?

Got off my lardy arse, threw the bike in the car and headed up to Blairadam for a couple of hours this afternoon. Found the new 'renthal run' trail, which was really rather good, plus an alternative singletrack route along to the top of the Brick Road descent which cuts out most of that crappy fire road climb.

A lot of trees down (don't think I'd been up since September/October?), but somebody's been busy with a chainsaw, and there are alternate lines. Good day, just what the doctor ordered.

Got suited up, walked across to the shed, got nearly blasted off my feet, pulled out the bike, now it was raining and blackness was in the sky.

My wife was baking ANZAC biscuits, and I realised that I was ignoring my highest priority - which was to test them and build up something for the retro ride at Dunkeld.

Bike went back in shed. :)

Out to play in the forest for the first time in...too long  Innellan Hill / Buachailean / Ardyne loop. Felt like I'd been hit by a train afterwards. Damn you mince pies!

Aye, sounded good.
Had a busy day around the house. Got stuff done in the shed, it's been too wet and windy to be out there this week to get much done.
Also priced up my retro games collection online. Collated a list this week and handed it into local games store, so I'll see how it compares. Hard to believe how much stuff I had hoarded in the loft over the years.

wifey sick today, so left in charge of the young punk. managed to watch some football on the turbo sweater (less said about the oval ball, the better).

I'm up for a little blairadam nightride in the coming weeks if any of the local guides fancy it, ZZ, Rob watcha think?

Sorry rob, it was all a bit last minute. Finished my lunch, and couldn't face a wasted weekend stuck in the house, so manned up and GTFO.
