So this is it. The final and 50th Takeover broadcast on the mighty Reform Radio. It's been a wild ride and an absolute pleasure putting these together, racing up and down the niche Mixcloud charts, cramming in recordings between work and life, playing loads of box-fresh new music, and nattering on about the weather. The two in-person live shows were tip-top too. It's a wonderful studio, run by some equally wonderful people.

These started during lockdown 1 in spring 2020 when the station was scrambling around for content. Therefore the biggest thanks goes to One Million Sunsets for making the connection with the studio and me, otherwise none of this would have happened.

We kept the ball rolling and what started as an hour show turned into 2. I'll take that as a sign that some folks actually quite liked what they were hearing. So the next biggest thanks goes to all the amazing artists that make the music, and make us, the listener, happy

For this final show I played an A-Z selection of electronica all on the fly. We stopped off twice at S and Z and gave X a pass.

New Seeds 8th birthday celebration, focusing all 2 hours on drum and bass. My absolute favourite cuts with the usual interview and source sample snippets.

In my opinion, apart from grime, this was the last great "British" musical export. With roots firmly in jazz and reggae, it was born from the UK rave scene and as many have said, took over the world. Watching, listening and consuming that in the mid to late 90s was a blast.
