Hi only joined site yesterday and hopeless at navagating through these things. Think I'm in correct place to be posting this so here goes.
I'm bascially looking for an idea of value of a 92 Alpinestars Almega dx I have.
Dont know a great deal about bikes. Bought this one new in 92 and have used it on and off since.
Bike is in very good condition for its age and sits standard apart from onza bar ends added soon after purchase. Only signs of wear are odd scratches and some tyre wall wear as tyres also originals.
The problem I have is that the rear derallieur hanger has snapped. I actually went out and purchased a new bike(fancied a new one anyway after 18 years) thinking this section could not be replaced. On taking it to a local bike builder the other day, due to wife wanting it out garage, i was advised there were 2 models and on my one it can be replaced. At not great expense either it would seem.
Cut long story short, although i love the look and feel of this bike, cant really justify having 2 in the limited space i have and the amount of time i spend riding them.
I have only seen one other similar bike for sale on this forum, like i say, hopeless at looking through it.
Any ideas of price for bike in current state and 0 or repaired state, welcome.
