I have a 96 Klein Pulse comp, and I've thought about putting slicks on it as a way to ride some asphalt roads in the local park when the trails are all wet and muddy. The position is rather stretched out and low as it is a mid-90s bike from when XC racing was king.
I have the original wheels set up with some old gumwall tires, and pulled out an old wheelset to mount some slicks on. The rims on the extra set are about 1 mm wider than the originals. That might not seem like much, but its enough to make wheel swaps without adjusting the brakes impossible.
I have never seen an Orange. (I'm American)
