Better maneuverability, easier to transport in a car & on a train, improved visibility because that pesky front wheel is not in your line of sight, much more responsive handling.
All the benefits and not a single draw back. There's no surprise that this design is seen on a "Team Pro" model.
I'm pretty sure there's benefits in mounting the brakes on the inside of the fork too in terms of stresses on the frameset, but I'm not technical enough to comment on that.
