Just saw this for sale on Craigslist locally. It's described as a Devinci Boogie. Looks pretty similar to what the OP has.
Oh that’s awesome! Amazing find! Is there any more photos of it?

The bottom bracket I pulled out of mine was an XT from mid 90s I think. If that gear is right on the bike it looks I got the right age.
 
Something I never thought to check but….

This big sticker saying Geko Bikes on the top tube is actually from a French bike shop in Didenheim near the Swiss border. The phone number matches the one on the sticker so it looks like the bike was originally imported to France (maybe?) and then brought to the UK

Also can someone please remind me what sort of chain guide goes on the underside of the chainstay here. My mind is blanking.
