Tap it with a hammer/screwdriver moving gradually round the circumference...

Probably better off using a mallet so as not to damage the race. Some people use a section of plastic tubing. If the race is even slightly off horizontal it will stick.

Tried that and it dented a tiny bit of the race so I stopped

Yeah can’t seem to find a perfect a bit of plastic to fit over the steerer and push the race down

Like you said I don’t want to damage the race

Might have to either buy the right tool or take it to the LBS

Good luck with the Hot they are like rocking horse poop, I’ve never found one in the Uk tbh

I’ve seen a few come up but I’m holding out for a crazy color one.

Also I’d like it to be 96-98 rather than earlier like the one sold on here last year
