I've worked out a solution for the missing stem cap. I think it looks decent. I'm actually pretty happy with it. Now I just need to get some replacement decals.

I got a set of Tioga Psycho skinwall tires for the Zaskar today. They are old and dry but seem to be in good shape. No bulging on the sidewalls or anything. I don't plan to take these on a trail but should I be concerned about riding on them due to their age?

The only time I've had tyres fail is when the sidewalls rip. I'd fit something nice and modern if you intend to ride it.

Loving this thread! 1995 was the very last year that GT were great IMO. 1996 was good but they were starting to loose their way.
Imagine having this in catalogue spec along with the Team LTS of the same year with the same factory spec, awesome!!

Does anyone know what was written below each logo or have a copy of the logos that I could make new decals from?

it's 140g on one side for the weight and 2... 2410 or 2140...er whatever 2000 series aluminium they used on the other. I used to have one, came on my Diamondback axis

I like your stem cap solution, i never thought of that before ...by the way, you can fit upto 8 attachments per post i beleive, you dont have to make several posts in order to attatch your pictures

I decided that it would be easier to drill an angle through the bolt hole of this old plastic A-Head cap rather than attempting to use that carbon spacer that I cut at an angle.

Happy birth-month to my Zaskar (0994). It would have been hand welded in California 23 years ago this month. It might show it's age and wear but they are only original once.
