I have a 1" to 1 1/8" adaptor To a-head so reckon I am stuck with searching for 1" threaded forks
I could be very wrong through and would be happy to find out different. If I went for an a-head headset would that mean I could swap for 1 1/8" forks??

Checked now and MND has set me right 1 1/8" steerer
Now pondering options, what is the max travel I should be looking at?
As I am looking a reliability am I better sourcing a brand new pair of forks, or gambling on a 2nd hand pair? Bike mainly used for cycle paths jumps.

Picked some Manitou 4's up off ebay.....said I had bought some forks, forgot to mention to the boss they were attached to a bike.....factory standard Palisades Trail 1995 same size as my Muirwoods so if the forks turn out to be ok might be a good fit. Any hints/ opinions on these would be great, I suspect they may need a service at some point. Options are sell the bike on complete and go for some modern forks or sell it as parts keeping the forks and rear mech.
