93 OCLV weightweenie Project *Latest weigh-in pg. 22*

Re: 93 OCLV weightweenie Project *Shedding more weight*

Lol Sadly no Agincourt salutes for me these days,

no chance of ever learning to play the piano either

Re:

Is the chain an option. KMC or FSA made some light drilled chains.
As already said the rear cassette, one of the 950 series has more Ti than the other.
Goldtech made light one....I could weigh mine.

Do you mean the Alu machined Goldtech one? I have a (worn out) tioga Ti cassette - same weight as m737. haven't found a decent m950 yet...

Hadn't considered the chain. I'll have a look at how much it'd save.

I dunno, there's always Chopsticks?

Chops sticks - next you’ll suggesting taking up knitting or crocheting

Working for a Japanese company I’ve been fortunate to go to Tokyo twice now and take it from me - chop sticks are strictly off limits for me unless you use just one, and stab your food with it !

Can’t even go into a petrol garage without seeing KitKats with more fingers than me.

Anyway stop procrastinating and pull your bloody finger out and get on with your weight loss project

Re:

Goldtech is Ali with Gold Ti Nitride coating I think. Weight Weeenies list it as below 200g which seems incredibly light. I might check mine out...it is on a bike at the moment.

Could you start drilling holes in stuff?

Ahaaaa... good old drillium... I said I wouldn't... but can you suggest any parts on this that would tolerate it...?

Cranks, pedals, chainrings, rims, saddle, to name a few.

And then you can walk back with bits of your bike in your hand like THM and his Mayhem walk of shame

what tyres have you got on it? I know you're trying to keep it period but there are some exceptional lightweight modern tyres
