'92 Raleigh Summit For Sale - VGC - Original Cond!!

Hi There,

Got a really nice and very original 1992/3 Raleigh Summit retro mountain bike for sale.

These were apparently £1000 when new and are very rare (especially in this condition) as not a lot of people spent that sort of doh on a bike back then!!

It's 19" C to T and is in the lovely old Reynold K2 cromoly steel. The pearlised purple paint is in pretty decent condition too.

It has the lovely early Rock Shox Forks (with oil syringe), 26" Black Double Wall Rigida Laser 400 Eyeletted Alloy Rims on Shimano Deore LX Alloy QR hubs, Very Good Original Chen Shin Tyres, Flat Reynolds 501 Handlebars, Zoom 'Titanium' Stem, Tioga Avenger Headset, Shimano SLR Cantilever Brakes & Levers, 21 speed Shimano Deore LX gear group, Shimano Deore DX Thumb Shifters, Shimano Deore LX Triple Crankset, 'Proponent' Alloy Seat post, Vetta Gel GSA Saddle, Raleigh Bottle Cage etc...

Must be an early model, the later ones had Rock Shox Mag 30s. I drove mine into a tree and bent the frame and forks :facepalm: my parents were not happy as they had indeed spent lots of money. I think it was from Halfords of all places.

Mine was 8 speed DX throughout. Rock Shox magnesium fork, with much less travel and gold legs. Zoom stem was steel and the bars were marked titanium. I paid £400 in 1993 reduced from £500, from Halfords of all places. Sold mine to a mate that left it unlocked and it was stolen.
