92 GT Richter 8.0...GT's first front suspended only model

I got seriously into mountain bikes in '93 and today is the first time I recall ever hearing about the Richter. The one below just popped up on craigslist for only $45, I'm going to try to pick it up tomorrow. It has a Mag 30 I guess. How is it different from the 21?

I picked up this NOS 92 GT Richter 8.0 Frame of craigslist back in December. Have been busy with other projects but a recent accident has kept me off the bike for an extended period which can only mean one thing....More time in the shop working on bikes. It wasn't until about two weeks ago when I picked up another GT saddle that I got excited about building it up because that was the missing piece, everything else was hanging or sitting in the shop. This is the third one I've completed in the past month and probably my favorite as this model represented a number of "firsts" for GT. This was their 1st flat or matte paint job on mountain bike. It was their first true suspended model. Meaning the first that only came with front suspension. They offered other models in the 92 model yr with front Rock Shox options but the Richter 8.0 was only available with front suspension. A nice blend of Deore and Deore XT with Ritchey Vantage rims. Enjoy!
Had one of these new back in the day , did a down hill race on corny fell which was an experience. Seeing the photos brought it all back .
