A sad day but I've hardly ridden it as I don't have much time for leisure riding and I could do with the funds.

Details and pics here and I'll get some new pics up once I get a chance to take some (and give it a wipe down):

Excellent condition, still rolling on the original Farmer Johns and comes with the original Saracen toe clips and colour matched reflectors etc - in fact it's 100% original (I'm pretty sure)

Looking for £325 collected from Brighton. Obviously prefer collection or I may be able to bring it to London but willing to post at cost.

Register interest here first - open dibs will make priority over PMs

Re:

Thanks mate :D

I'm 100% certain I'll regret this one day when I have more time and money. But that's the future and this is now and right now it's languishing in my loft when it could be in the hands of someone in a position to appreciate it as it should be.

And when I have the time and money there's always something special coming along (though admittedly I'm unlikely to find another one of these).

Very interested, but could I have some more photos? Particularly of the drivetrain etc. Just need to see how worn it is etc.

Also, was the seatpin ridden at the MIN level mark? Looks like it might have been further out of the frame than that?

Re:

Yes, min level mark and no more - and not ridden much at that. Will sort out photos asap (prob tomorrow).

Re:

Was hoping to get a chance to clean it but I thought better to get the photos up quickly, warts and all.

TBH this is the problem with bikes like this for me: I don't have much time to ride them and even less to maintain them the way they should be. However the previous owner seems to have ridden it even less and maintained it very well (regular services at his LBS he said). The grime is his and the dust is mine.

Apologies for posting a for sale ad without cleaning the bike! I thought posting the ad would spur me into action but between work, kids, elderly grandparents etc I haven't found the time. What this bike really needs is someone who will strip it down, expertly rebuild it and keep it perfectly maintained. I should mention however that it does not actually need this - it has been very well maintained and is pretty much perfect mechanically. I noticed bringing it to the office the other day that it has developed a very slight noise from the rear wheel but the wheel spins forever with no crunchiness at all so I'm not sure what's causing the noise. Its definitely the wheel, I've eliminated other possible sources.

Stupidly I ran GT85 up and down the seatpost - didn't know it would strip the anodising! Won't make that mistake again.
