I need to make some room so here are
couple of frames I'm looking to clear. Can post at cost or collection from Farnborough GU14 area.

First up is an 89 Saracen Tuff Trax frame, forks and headset. It's on ebay with a starting bid of £40 or bin £60. Retrobike price £35.

Blurb from the eBay ad.
1989 Saracen Tufftrax Frameset. Size is about 22" centre to centre and top tube about 23.5". Made from Tange DB tubing.

Condition is used, please see photos. Plenty of marks and scratches but the nice thing with these old Saracens is the decals are not lacquered over so can be removed and replaced if needed. Also included is the original 1" headset and stem. All the threads are fine and no dents or cracks i can see.

Next up is an 96 DBR Racing Axis R. Will leave the headset ( 1 1/8 for reference) fitted but the bearing cages are knackered. May well be salvageable however. Size is about 15.5 c to c. Plenty of marks and scratches but no dents or cracks. The worse marks in my opinion is where the bars have caught the top tube. Would have been a decent bike in its day, was XT level components. Seems a light frame, if I find my scales will weigh it. £30 for that one please.

Any questions or for more pics please message me.

Weight of the DBR is 2150 grams. So minus the headset and seat collar I guess its pretty much bang on 2kg as a bare frame.

Here’s a daft question. I’ve a 26 x1.75 wheelset. Would that work with that frame and the caliper mounts or would it need 27’s? Completely new to all this as have spent all my years on road bikes but have a frankenbiek build itch that needs scratching lol
Edit. On the Saracen f&f, which I could collect :)

Hi, yes both frames are for 26" wheels. However the Saracen has literally been picked up 2 minutes ago so just the Diamond Back left now.

Ha! Snooze and I lose! No worries. Looking for something just like that Saracen if you spot another bargain on the threads :)
