Todays the day!

The clearcoat is dry, so its time to cut it back and polish it.

Process is pretty simple...all by hand, no machine polish (as we would at work) and no special kit....home garage job.

First, im cutting the clear back with 1200g wet and dry....wet, well soaked paper.....don't go too mad...you will know its working when you feel the paper glide rather that rasp...stop!

Second, wipe off the soap film that will come with cutting the clear....

Third, polish with t-cut on a cloth.

Fourth, good wax polish.....

Thats it...done.

Its not quick....the while frame took me 3 hours....but its worth it......do it right, do it once.

Here's picks, clearcoat, sanded, wiped off, t-cut

Also found in a bag some old 531 fork decals that i peeled off a frame years ago, before powder...slightly scratched....but with some glue they will be fine...and free!
