Stunning! Looks so nice to ride. No issue with slipping shoes anymore now, but if they do you’re shins will soon know about it!

Thoight i might just update this with some finished pictures. Went for a little trundle today to the hair torturers.....quick once over and here she is.
With a few details for the fetishists.
My only regret is that its not a size bigger. The reach is a bit short and stem choice is severely limited with those 22.2mm bars.....but they give me the height.
Ive done a few trips of 15 to 25 miles on her, so its not a killer, but its not perfect. But then nothing is...including my back, which I can hardly blame the bike for.
Im still open to frame/ fork/ brake/ wheel swaps if somebody has something bigger of a similar nature and quality.....or better with a bit if cash from me chucked in.
Someone must have an early xl ritchey stashed away!

Shame about the reach. I wonder would a taller stem (with more reach too) in combination with a moustache bar work for you? With a tall stem you could probably get it almost saddle level and as you ride in the bend, it gives extra reach.
Bike looks great. Another idea could be to tilt the bars outwards towards the front wheel a wee bit, I've ridden mx/bmx bars angled either way dependent on frame to get the right reach. But I'm also a freak who happily rides 16" to 24" and seem unable to feel my body

Bloody gorgeous that. Just looks perfect in my eyes. Love all of it from the bars, to the Suntour, drum brakes, Allez chainset... you name it, you've nailed it!
There will be an early XL Ritchey stashed away... get your EXTRA LARGE cheque book ready as it will be stateside and cost an absolute bomb to buy and get sent to UK!!!

Bars can go out, but they get really uncomfortable as the angle goes all wrong.
I could put a big hairy stem on, but i think it might loose something in the translation!
Good ideas all the same.....the thing i need to remember is its never going to be my first choice ad a long distance tourer, so i should enjoy it for what it is!
I do have a deerhead groupset thats burning a hole in the cupboard floor....itching to be used.
.....so another frame is deffo on the agenda.
