80's GT Timberline year id

Came across this beauty. I know it's an '80's bike but I'm trying to nail down the year.

I've seen what's supposed to be an '84 but the rear caliper is on the inside of the seatstay, not down on the chainstay like this one. Any idea? Any guess on the size?

Looks like a 1988 to me based on graphics and what I think I can see - Shimano Exage Trail groupset. Size wise, due to unusual frame style for a GT (normally triple triangle) they offered the Timberline in a 18.5" ladies size which I think this could be. Have a look at this link to the 1988 catalogue:

Not sure where you're based as US and Euro models sometimes had different paint options so this might account for this.
