5 litres that is, V8 formation, recycled u-boat style.

Am going from Cambs to Exeter, about 250 miles.

Anyone care to guess the mpg when I arrive?

somewhere in the low 30's, if you do it Driving Miss Daisy style...

low twenties if you actually want to enjoy your self.

I'd say more like 15 if you have a heavy foot ;)

My friend's Skyline averaged a whole 9mpg if the turbos were given a fair workout

Depends what day your travelling, as all routes to Devon close at around lunchtime on a Friday.

Mid week an crusin, I'd say 20ish mpg, which is what I used to get from my 66 Mustang.

17 mpg, but yes, depends on how you plan to drive it.

A very nice beast indeed.

On a recent work trip to Glasgow, I coaxed 94mpg from a 59 plate Seat Leon diesel ('bluemotion' or whatever Seat use) - I was shadowing a big truck though.

Just fitted a Blaupunkt SQR-88 for the journey - it has an Aux-in on the front for the ipod...

I drove my mates SEL down to Cornwall for his Stag a few years ago (he wanted Chauffeuring... what better than the Dictators fave). It was the Straight 6, not V8 flavour however, but we still only got around 25mpg average at 65mph

We were going to take this and my Saab, but I blew a turbo line on the way to his house
