29er v-brake rims, where ?

Hi folks,

I'll be needing some new rims for my bike soon, but having a quick look has left me with nothing.

I have a pair of Bontrager Race wheels, 28hole and for v-brakes. Can't seem to find anything to replace the rims with.
If I could find road rims, would they take an mtb tyre, or be too narrow?
Really want to keep it v-brake if I can

If you can find them, Mavic made the 217 in 700c. I am pretty sure it was a trekking model with the same profile as the 26" version. 32 and 36 hole.

I have salsa ones. I'm sure they available in 28 they are on my surly karate monkey

Any sturdy road or cx rim will do. I used Mavic Aksyum and Krysium for quite a while

Unfortunately the A719s are recommended up to 47mm tyres. However the XM719 takes between 1.5 and 2.3" tyres. Looks like it's designed for rim brakes too.

The problem with road rims, is the size of tyre they can take. I'm using 2.1" jobbies. CX may be possible, but would 2.1s fit those?
