As the geometry is very similar to the oldschool NORBA numbers - for that price I´d rather have a Yo Eddy, decked out with nice components. Not that I think it´s unreasonable for a US made frameset. But I guess I´m not in the target group.Thats a lot of pennies for a rigid frame.
I totally agree it would look neater with the hanger left off, but I think in their defence the photo above is of the show bike from MADE 2024, pre-production - they’ve intentionally left the UDH in place to advertise the fact it is UDH frame not a singlespeed only bike.That was exactly my point. They could have trimmed the threaded hanger off and left it much neater looking. They went to all the trouble of a custom paint job etc and left a vestigial hanger. Singlespeed frames with a hanger left dangling always look awful.
When I had my Jones, it had a single speed specific drop out that could be quickly swapped for a geared one. Granted, that frame had other aesthetic challenges but at least the drop outs looked neat.
