Nothing wrong with a U brake, easy enough to set up and they're powerful enough! I love mine on my two 1992 GT's.

shake down ride earlier today - its a dangerous thing to say , but everything is working perfectly and I think I have got this one as near to its original specification as its reasonably possible given 33 years have elapsed since.
