Re:

Good effort lads. Hopefully I'll be back next year. A number of things conspired against me this time.

Strange that the Taybank has stopped doing food. It was always pretty busy when we were in although last year the focus was more on the noisy rabble in the corner.

Rob I think "stop eating sweets and pies" are more important than saddle height :) Legs were fine on this ride, lungs were the main issue - seat was adjusted at the start and felt fine, it does have a tendency to slip a little on longer rides though.

Re:

You didn't think I'd let this slip by unnoticed, Jamie what's with the Chris Christopherson look?

It looks worse with the skull cap under the helmet. Looks like someone squashed my head.
Its not a good pic that one  All bulked up for the cold with my stick legs poking out the shorts
I could get arrested for vagrancy, 'no visible means of support'
I didn't get any razors for christmas, so thats it until next year.

(thought it might just pass under the radar without comment)

I actually wanted to buy a fixie but the local shop said I needed to grow a beard and get some skinny jeans so thats the real reason, but I will have to shave it off as they still wont sell me one as I just cant get that ironic look.
And thats after I hacksawed all the cable stops of all my frames :(

Jamie
(now thats irony)
