2009 Jeff Jones 3D Spaceframe Ti

yeah, we often go with the in thing rather than outright comfort.

for me a racing type saddle is no good if i cant ride more than 10 miles without being in agony! had them for years, and never got on with them. my favourite saddle for years is a £17 gel one i bought from my LBS.

i had to go with style on the jones though, otherwise it would have that same cheap but comfy saddle on this too.

My very first racing bike sported a Brooks saddle, but as a badly informed teenager I threw it away and bought one of those thin gel saddles that were in all the mags at the time. Of course it had the fraction of the comfort.

I'm heading back to the Brooks' website right now for a gander!

I had a Brooks on a road bike many years ago which to this day is the thinnest longest saddle I have ever seen. It had a tiny wide part at the back for your arse and a hugely long nose, I've never seen another one like it. Sadly I was as dumb as you and got rid of it.

that same saddle will no doubt still be on a bike somewhere.......look for another?

Very similar to this one. Bloody comfy thing but I thought leather saddles were old fashioned.

i done a gentle 15mile ride around the river tyne on saturday, first time i have rode the bike with the brooks on, and is was superb.

definetly made the right choice with the saddle, expensive, but its interchangable so i will keep this to outlast the bike i hope!

had a nice ride around kielder water today (27 miles) and loved every minute of it, the new brooks saddle is superb.

its a 24'' the largest of the 2 sizes, im 6ft and its spot on for me with a straight post and 110mm stem.

most jones owners run layback posts, though i have had no troubles. they do have a short wheelbase, this makes them look smaller too.
