The headset survived fine, but I killed my 21 year old mavic.

The D521 was first available in 1998 as a replacement for the highly succesful 121. It survived and is not sold as the EX721. Your rim is at best 14 years old.

I am more and more considering purchasing something new or something slightly used. If buying new, I like the look and parts of the ghost dh 7000.. though I dont know if I wish to invest that much in a bike :p

I'm really on "the bench". And today I found a nice Kona Stab Supreme DH 2008. It was quite affordable and had been sitting in a shed for the last two seasons... But the seller said a guy said he would buy it unseen :p

If not, I might buy it.. Looks kindof sweet. he wants about 50% off the price on CRC http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=78920 . I guess itæs sold though, so I am also considering other bikes 2008-2012, slightly used or new.

Maybe it's better to just buy a new bike, as I then dont have to upgrade and do services at once :p also you get the "new smell" and you have a bike for many years.. I have had the bazooka since early 2000 and I paid 19.000 NOK for it. (thats about 2000gbp). it was way more expensive at that time though, I believe it was 6000gbp.. (in NOK). But I bought it when it had been used half a season.

btw look at this pimp ride

Mmm that is very nice, i think there is somewhat too much choice at the moment though.
It has its plus points and minus points having so many brands around.

he he, yeah that's true.
I found a "new" bike now though: 2009 commencal supreme dh. I gave a lower offer than the seller wanted, but he accepted it.

May pick it up today..

Bazooka

Did you paint them your self? hahaha. No!! G - power has original colors. 17" No 1 Bazookawas black with silver swingarm but previous owner painted it. The big one No1 ba zooka was painted by Dave gti he was on that forum.
I m going to repaint 17" with green frame and blue swingarm.Yea, I now im freak but i love old bazooka's.Olavxxx have you recived pm from me??

Does Dave gti drive a Volvo?
When comparing the new(er) bike I bought, I think I could use the lowest setting of the rear frame height on the bazooka. (I guess that would give about the same angle on the frame).
