Hi,

For sale is a retro classic downhill frame, but unfortunatley this one has a few issues with it.
I bought it as a complete bike as I always loved these when they were new and it was on of my dream bikes back as a teenager!
When I test rode the bike all seemed fine, it wasn't till I got home I found a few bad points:

After getting it home and stripping it down I discovered it had a crack on one of the rear linkages.
Upon furthur expection of the whole frame I found a hairline crack on the headtube/downtube weld.

For these reasons I can only sell the frame in a sold as seen state, I can't speak of the health of the rear shock as I never got the chance to extensively use it. The frame has seen plenty of use over the years and has plenty of marks to prove it.

One good thing about this frame is the BETD long travel linkage, it could be useful if you've got a retro Kona full sus frame and fancy meddling with some retro upgrades!

Price is £60 Collected from SE London. Postage may be possible.

Any questions feel free to PM me.

Hmm, I think the headtube weld would be an easy fix as it's just a hairline crack and you could put a good strong weld there.

The other crack is trickier as there's not much material to go on.

I bought an old Kona Dawg frame to try and use parts of the linkage from it but unfortunaley they were different sizes and wouldn't marry.

So the headtube, yes, easy fix.
The swing arm crack, tricky!

do you know how often the rears pop up? or what else theyre compatible with? to rob parts from

I don't know about the availablity of spare parts, I didn't reseacrh the Dawg frame I just went on a lucky punt that turned out to be unlucky

Hi guys I'm new on here and only found out about this site when i started searching stab 97/8/9 bits. I bought mine brand new but havent ridden it since 2002. I could do with some travel plates so have they been sold yet?

Mine snapped in exactly the same place..
