I've got a '98' Heckler and I fitted modern Fox RL32's and the lock-out knob is fowling on the down tube. Anybody else had this issue?

but surely that happens when you turn the bars, and it is unlikely you need to turn the bars that far when riding?

which makes the "problem" no worse to a lefty fork or dual crown forks?

Re:

I understand what your saying about turning the bars but I'm worried if I fall off (sorry that should read 'when' I fall off) it'll whack the down tube.
And I'll look into the stack hight of the H/Set (its a Ritchey WCS headset BTW).

I have a 97 Heckler and have used it with 4-5 different forks, including Fox, RockShox, Pace and Marzocchi.
Also using a Ritchey external cup headset, but all of them cleared the downtube.

If you have a Chris King headset to swap in, they do a 3?mm extra high crown race in 1.1/8" which could do the trick.

Enjoy!!
