Last year I bought this Vitttorio Randonneur frameset in Reynolds 501. Initially I wanted to build it into a hybrid with some fat Smart Sam tyres. Last week I changed my mind. Wednesday I assembled it as a touring bicycle, its original purpose. I got this nice Kalloy Uno stem to bring the bars level to the saddle. The rear wheel has been shoved way into the semi horizontal dropouts for maximum chainstay length. All to make it a very comfortable ride. It certainly is a lot more laid back than what I usually ride, but I do see more of what goes by. Which is nice. All the parts I used are new, except for the hubs which could be considered NOS. I don't make pics when I build a bike, because I get lost in the details and forget.
