1997 Marzocchi Z2 Refurb / Service / Fettle

The only part missing, which isn't essential to the function of the fork, is a "safety ring".
It's part #1 in the attached pic.
Anyone know where I can get one, or should I just make something... / Ignore....

I should probably rebuild these.... Did I buy new seals? Maybe I did...
If I did... Did I get gopping blue ones?
Time will tell.... Or a trip to the garage to look in the box will tell...

Enduro seals are some of the worst products I've ever used, they add friction, look crap, and mark stanchions. Not recommended. I've not used them but @Dr-Zocchi ones are basically OEM spec so a lot better.

Picking up on your point about oil volumes in your first post; the reason most modern forks don't like much oil is that because of a closed end to create the air chamber on the spring side only leaves space for so much, and with the damper side too much and the damper starts to ingest the lubrication oil which inflates the bladder and creates crap damping. The Z2 only had a single damper, so there was lots of oil in that side for the damping, and the other side it was just enough for lubrication rather than also doing damping so it was a bit of weight saving. The later 888's were a similar setup as they only had a damper in one side.
