Bought this sweet little 1997 Marin Mount vision from @jimwise68

It’s pretty cool as it has the original backend which were recalled in about 98? Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Frame is a 15.5” C-T EDIT...17" C-T so ideal size for me, condition of this frame is really good, most of these frames the lacquer has crazed.

Got some parts on the way so will keep the thread updated!

Thanks for reading all.

Few more bits arrived this afternoon that @jimwise68 dropped off to me!

Original Manitou forks, original Marin grips, White Industries cranks!!

Fitted a CK headset also, need to fit a star nut in the forks though as originally it came with one of those DiaTech headsets that preloads on the steerer tube.

Looking forward to finishing it!!

Thanks to my mate Duncan at Wallington Cycles for dropping round a star nut setting tool this afternoon, finally we have a rolling bike, and man oh man it looks good!

That frame looks great! Is it the original shock? The rebound damping adjustment on my '99 Rock Springs has failed - it has two settings: 'all' and 'none'! I need to find a suitable replacement, but it's not a high priority.

I’ve stuck this one as is in the loft this evening, I will continue the build at some point and complete it but atm I need the room for some special stuff on the way….watch this space!
