Sp41 is similair but slight different colour so don’t mix and match. Works same and looks good and I’ve used it on many build when you don’t fancy paying NOS XTR cable prices

You are bang on,I was one gear cable housing short when cabling up the manitou so used standard sp41. And it's slightly lighter shade of grey than the xtr logo housing

So probably cheaper just to use sp41 throughout instead Matty. But since I know what you're like you will hunt for the elusive xtr housing instead. Take it you have brake cable housing already then? Got mine shipped from Germany via eBay

I must confess I did. I know I know, it's purely temporary though. I really wanted to jump on and take it for a spin. It's been sat looking at me unloved for 6months.

I did worse.

Whilst building my pace I had 2 lots of leftover XTR cables from 2 other builds. However they are slightly different colours even though they are both XTR. Must be different years or fading. I fitted those ......


and then swapped them out a day later when I couldn’t sleep

1997 headset received. Not the exact control tech one but will do for now. Ordered some titanium bolts to go in it.
