Devout Dirtbag
I've recently built this up, with a bit of a mash up of parts of things I've had and thanks to bits I've bought from a few people on here and ebay.
The frame is a 1997 team xt, sadly I've not got a full xt groupset but I'm planning on upgrading a few parts here and there, trying to keep it true to the period and the bling bits I wanted at the time. (Real levers!).
First on the list though is definitely a seatpost, this was just the cheapest one I could find as I wasn't sure of the size, and I think the ubiquitous flite saddle is in order.
After a couple of rides I can say I am massively pleased with it. I love steel and this frame feels awesome, pretty lightweight thanks to the OX3 tubing and none of the harshness i associate with alloy frames. I seem to have dented one of the rims already. They actually date from my 1995 parkpre so have done pretty well, so maybe thats an upgrade too, would love some of the dark ceramic mavic rims on some nice hubs...
