1996 StumpJumper A1 FS - New life for my old friend

My '96 StumpJumper was a gift for my 30th birthday. It came close to being put on the curb a few times, and I'm so glad I always came to my senses and held on to it. Over the years, it's gotten a few new parts to bring it in to the future (rigid fork, shorter stem, wider handlebars, dropper seat post, 1X drivetrain, tubeless wheel setup, V-brakes), but it still has that old school spirit. Today, it takes me everywhere - up mountains, down gravel roads, and through wooded paths. A joy to ride for many years to come.

Nice to see the old birthday present still in regular use today, a one-owner bike.
Like yourself, my own Stumpjumper A1 FS is in regular use by myself (well maybe not up the mountains!). In fact it’s my only useable bike at the moment: the Hardrock has been lent out, and the suspension on the Cannondale has collapsed.
