First ride!
I couldn't find the dedicated cleats for those pedals, so I put some normal M520 SPD's on for the ride :roll: Should have known it was an omen!
Here we go then! Yippee! Only an hour and half daylight maybe but enough for some fast riding. So, up a long road climb up to the dirt! Noticed a creaking noise on the way up, must be the bottom bracket. Can't remember when I got it but must be an old one :roll: :facepalm:
Getting a bit louder so I stopped for another photo and checked for play.
It was then that I noticed there was a lot of play in the back wheel! :facepalm: I had only just nipped that up the other day. Carry on and risk killing the hub, or turn back?
I turned back, finding a new bridleway in the process
So got back home and hosed the bike off. Stripped the hub and inspected as I couldn't get it running smooth. It seems like I may have put one too many bearings in the non drive side. Nine is right, yes?
All back together now anyway :roll: And feeling a lot smoother too :facepalm:
