If your intention was a single speed, you should proceed in doing so of course, I am sure it will be a great single speed.

It would be a shame if the decals wear of indeed.
If you might consider to get rid of those cranks, I would be happy to take ownership of them :)

Thanks, but if I take them off, I'll keep them to put back on at a later date

Hi, I have a 95 and I love it.....it's alive with feel and punches well above it's weight......do a search using my tag and have a look!.....enjoy!.... :D

Just had a look. Very nice!

I wanted to get it stripped down today ready for the conversion when the parts I've ordered arrive. Then I remembered my brother has borrowed my crank puller

Here it is in it's current (rather sad looking) state

You have to break an egg to make the perfect cake!.... ;)

So today I received these lock-on grips, single speed conversion kit and chain tensioner from Superstar components.

I also received these lovely chainring bolts from CRC, but they've gone on my Glory and the Kona has inherited the old ones.

The conversion went smoothly except for one chainring bolt that was seized on and I had to drill it out in the end

My old DMR V8s added and all done except for the saddle which I'm waiting for from fleabay

Now the saddle has arrived, the bike is as finished as I had originally intended.

But, a quick ride has shown me I need a riser bar to be remotely comfortable, so one is now on it's way from CRC.
