I bought this only a week or so ago, but after giving it a service discovered it was too big for me! It's a Marin 17.5", which is 17.5" centre to centre (not centre to top!). At 5' 4" it's just too big for me. Really a bit gutted about this, as it's the same bike I owned new back in 1997. Although I must have had a 15.5" (17.5" ctt).

Bike has covered circa 1,000 miles, which shows in it's condition. Everything is in pretty good condition, main thing that lets the bike down is the reaction under the lacquer on the frame.

I have checked the bike over and given it a service and its ready to go. I have:

Regreased the elastomers and springs in the forks. All elastomers were just like new.

Fitted new brake cables and gear cables, and a new set of cartridge brake pads to both brakes. Set everything up again.

I really don't want to split this, as it'd be a shame to part out a complete original bike. However, if it comes to it then I'll have to, to try and recoup my money.

Comes with original owners manuals, datatag booklet and receipt (for £1,700!).

I paid £226.50 for the bike, then another £10 for cables and £7 for brake pads. I'd like to recoup this if possible.

Will split if no interest in the bike as a whole, but it would be a shame.

You took my advice and came here instead of lameBay! Good man, lovely bike and worth the money. Bought myself a '99 mount vision last weekend.
