38t Wolftooth arrived & fitted.
Jumping up from the 34t just needed a couple of links putting back in the chain, fortunately I always hang on to the leftovers so that wasn’t a problem. Everything fitted perfectly, still with a good clearance from the chain stay although this would be the most teeth that would fit.
Surprised that’s it 20g lighter the the smaller XT…
Initial test run gets a huge thumbs up making almost all the range useful (that 1st gear dinner plate is still just plain silly) and 11 should certainly take @Our Jimmy a lot longer to “spin out”

@Peachy! Glad it's worked out how you wanted. I'm not surprised it's a bit lighter, XT rings have steel teeth and are pretty hefty.

Sort of… very hard, I presume high density shock proof black plastic. Pace thingy, came with the frame I assume for clearing mud off of the chain ring…

It's there to help combat chainsuck/avoid gouging the chainstay and is made of acetal.
