Interesting comment about the Titec seatpost recall. I guess that is why I have never seen one.

These photos are cool because they also show the original Marin Quake tyres and the perfect condition of the Mavic 230SBP rim sidewalls.

I remember weighing a 230 rim BITD when it got a bit taco'd and needed replacing. 370g or something as I recall. Its taken Stan quite a while to come up with anything lighter and Mavic's only seem to be getting heavier. Still, they weren't the strongest eh?

That reminded me of when I was 18, sauntering in to Lawes Cycles in kettering

Fond memories here also bud though i was a little older in '93 and besides there was never anything any good in Glover's
