Apart from a few Dyna Techs I’ve never owner a full Ti frame so though it was time to get involved. I found this 17 inch 95 DBR Axis TT on eBay and had to get it.
The previous owner, a nice chap in Ireland had just finished painstakingly polished the frame with scotchbrite pads, so it is in lovely shape.
After the postman had been and I unwrapped everything and was impressed with the quality feel, how nice the welds are and how light the frame is.
My plan is to change the decals to OEM and build with some nice bits that I have compiled recently and over the years. It won’t be 100% period correct but as close as I can get taking into account budget, parts I already have and usability.
It’s likely to be based on m950/52 groupset parts, which came on the market around 1996 so close enough. I would also like to keep the components black or dark where possible and maybe add a splash of colour to compliment the decals etc.

Whilst waiting for the frame to arrive I contacted Gil at retro decals for a new set of 95 decals. Will get these fitted when I next get a chance.
