1995 Coors Duel Descender, Malvern Hills !

I think I went 93/94 & 95. It got proper out of hand in 95. I was only young & when my parents came late on the Sunday afternoon they were not impressed by what had gone on. The bubble had burst on the event & it changed race weekends forever.

That aside it was a top giigle the few times I went.. We had a huge bonfire, an Escort van full of ICE & I got drunk for the 1st time in 94 I think. I even qualified for the Xc the next day which was the whole idea for going anyways. But I was too spent by the sunday & could barely race due to the heat (oh how summers used to be hot)

1995... I attempted to come down there for the day on Sunday, it was the week or so before I was due to emigrate, as I was driving over the Malverns and dropping down the other side I couldn't help but notice all the cars with bikes going the other way.. then got to the turn off and police turned me around. I stopped back up at the British Camp (Herefordshire Beacon) parking lot and somehow by chance saw Cy (now Cotic) who filled me in on the story of what happened... so as to not waste the day myself, Cy and his Dad went for a ride along the Malverns.

I'd been the previous 3 of 4 years... I can still hear that dumb Mycycles jingle in my head.. 1994 it was getting wild, folks sliding down the tent. If I recall my first year was the year of the impromptu lake leaping, which turned into a full on event the following year.

I was there that year , took both my trials bikes to do some showing off with.

Great overall event with trade stands , pro teams , evening entertainment.

What a shame its all changed, silly things like the bunny hop contests !
