1994 Rocky Mountain Blizzard... Updated PICS

Re: 1994 Rocky Mountain Blizzard... UPDATE - modern XTR BUILD

Looking good. AFAIK there are no rapid rise specific shifters. Just top normal versus bottom normal derailleurs. So your paddles will shift the opposite of what you are used to.

Thanks! I'm glad they will work =)

I really like the M960 group!.. all but the M960 shifters... not a fan of them...

thanks!

Re: 1994 Rocky Mountain Blizzard... UPDATE - modern XTR BUILD

UPDATE... Just got the levers in the mail... they are cheapie knock-offs and were only $50 but look cool...

Only issue is that I don't seem to have enough room for my finger on the shifter... did I do something wrong or are these just no good with these shifters? :?

Re:

The shifter looks designed to be laterally adjustable, undo the allen bolt on the top of the shifter and move the body outwards I would say.

Cheers

Thabks but If I do that it wil be under the lever and I won't be able to reach it

Re: 1994 Rocky Mountain Blizzard... UPDATE - modern XTR BUILD

Then switch the shifter and the brake lever on the bars. I ran this way for years. It can be a bit awkward because the shifter is probably not shaped correctly to go that way.

I tried that but it's quite awkward,

I may have to use some avid ultimate levers instead...

Thx!

Re: 1994 Rocky Mountain Blizzard... PAUL or AVID ??????

Sooo.... I was having trouble deciding which levers to use... Either Paul Love Levers or Avid Ultimate Black Ops.... decided that the best way to go would be to buy one set of each =)

Which would be the better choice??? you decide :D

Re:

So many decisions. Either way I like this build. It's interesting to try out many many options until something just clicks. My Chameleon was that way for me recently. Tried all kinds of set ups. Look forward to more updates.
